Q: What makes PerfectSense Paraffin so much better?
A: Derived from ancient plant and animal forms that lived millions of years ago, paraffin wax is an organic, natural product. Paraffin wax is used to help hydrate skin by forming an occluse mask. The paraffin draws the body’s own moisture to the surface of the skin for deep, natural hydration. Skin is left incredibly soft and supple. This is well known In the spa & beauty industry.
PerfectSense® Paraffin is a complete sensory experience enjoyed by your clients.
This makes PerfectSense a fantastic alternative to a messy process involving long wax melt times, wax drips and spills, scraping to remove wax from skin and unsightly communal electric tubs and the risk of bacterial infection.
Q: How many treatments come in one case?
Each case of Hand Treatments includes 36 treatments.
Each case of Feet Treatments includes 36 treatments.
Q: How does the paraffin melt?
A: The Paraffin comes pre-packaged in the self-contained gloves/slippers. Once hung inside the PerfectSense®Heating Chamber, the paraffin is in contact with the Heater Pouch. When the Heater Pouch is activated with the AromaVapor Activator Solution, it heats up and releases an AromaVapor. This is an all-natural and non-toxic process. The melt temperature of the paraffin is 50˚, and as soon as that temperature is reached, it turns into a liquid and flows down into the glove or slipper. Once ready the gloves/slippers are gently guided onto your clients hands/feet and they begin luxuriating in the warm, healing wax. The heating process is a natural mineral reaction between food-grade minerals and saline solution. It is non-toxic and safe to dispose of in the regular garbage after use.
Q: When is the paraffin ready to be used?
A: When the PerfectSense® Paraffin treatment has been activated, soothing AromaVapor will be released, lasting approximately 8 minutes. When you start see the AromaVapor subside, your paraffin is ready! Paraffin will be fully melted in 6-8 minutes.
Q: How long do I leave the treatment on for?
A: The PerfectSense® Paraffin Treatments are usually left on for 8-10 minutes. When used in conjunction with the terrycloth Treatment Extenders or a warm towel, the treatment can be left on for 15+ minutes. Leaving the treatment on for longer (30+ minutes) will not harm your clients. The use of heated mitts or electric mitts can extend the length of the penetrating deep-heat treatment and are safe to use with the paraffin gloves. Do remove electric mitts 5-10 minutes before removing paraffin treatments to allow for cooling.
Q: The paraffin is not melting completely. Is it still okay?
A: If you have a small amount of paraffin that is not completely melted after 6-8 minutes, you have a few options. If there is a significant amount, allow the paraffin to remain in the chamber for another 1-2 minutes. If it is the first treatment of the day, or if the Heating Chamber is in a cold environment, the paraffin may take a few minutes longer to melt. If there is a minor amount of paraffin not melted, you may squeeze the unmelted paraffin through the perforation and mix with the already melted paraffin wax, or use as is. There is an adequate amount of paraffin in each glove/slipper so that when applied correctly, it will still work properly.
Q: The plastic on the treatments is wrinkled? Will this impact the melting of the paraffin? If so, what should I do?
A: Yes, wrinkles on the plastic may impact the melting of the paraffin. Wrinkles sometimes occur during shipping as the paraffin is exposed to heat, especially during the summer months. If wrinkles are present on the paraffin block, simply pull the plastic away from the block to smooth it out
Q: The paraffin block is curved and is not flat. Will this impact the melting of the paraffin? If so, what should I do?
A: During the shipping process, the paraffin is sometimes exposed to heat (especially during the summer months). If your paraffin block looks curved, simply place on a hard surface and use the palm of your hand to flatten the block.
Q: Why did my paraffin not melt evenly?
A: When pouring the AromaVapor Solution into the Heater Pouch, be sure to evenly pour the solution over the pouch to saturate the entire Heater Pad. (Do not dump AromaVapor in one spot of Heater Pouch, as this may create uneven melting.)
Q: My customer says the paraffin is too warm. What can I do?
A: The beauty behind having the treatment in a self-contained glove is that you are able to customize to each individual client. Even in its most molten state, it cannot burn your client. However, a good idea is always to pat out the liquid paraffin promptly after removing it from the Heating Chamber. Pat out liquid paraffin for about 15-30 seconds until it turns a milky gel, and your paraffin will be ideal for anyone.
